Handyperson service
Minor works and falls prevention service.
Minor works and falls prevention service.
Our Handyperson service is for West Norfolk residents and is different to our major adaptations service, providing smaller solutions to keep you living safely and independently at home. Focussed predominately on falls prevention we provide low level equipment that will help remove some of those barriers to day-to-day living helping you maintain independence with daily tasks.
If you are struggling to safely enter or exit your property for example due to a step or absence of something to hold on to, we may be able to provide a grab rail to help support you. Similarly, if you are struggling to get in and out of your bathroom and use its facilities easily, we may be able to provide some low-level equipment to help. Standing for long periods when in the kitchen cooking or cleaning can be challenging for some and so if space allows, we could provide a perching stool to help make this more manageable for you.
There are a range of solutions we can provide, and our friendly trained staff can help talk you through the recommended measures that may help ease any challenges you are experiencing in your day to day living.
If you are a West Norfolk resident with a disability of health condition or know someone who fits the criteria, non means tested grant funding is available to help. I rent my property. Do I need to gain permission from my landlord prior to having any works?
Many of our low-level prevention’s works do not involve anything structurally within a property.
