Helping support people and loved ones affected by dementia.
Living with an ageing population means over time more people will be living with dementia in the UK with numbers projected to be as high as 1.6 million by 2040 (alzheimers.org.uk).
Our Adaptations service can help people not only access bathing and toilet facilities but also access their homes safely. We offer where applicable a grant funded service that may help you get the adaptations you need to remain safe and independent in and around your home.
We offer a holistic service which means that we try to help people in all aspects of their lives including signposting them to other services such as benefits to help ensure they are receiving what they are entitled to financially to help them both in the personal and social aspect of their day to day living.
For more help and information on Dementia as well local support groups, visit the LILY website.
As well as any major adaptations that may be required our Handyperson service aims to support people who experience memory loss to continue living independently in the place they love the most, their own home.
Small changes such as adding labels to doors and cupboards, notice boards with visitor’s photos or reminder notes can have a positive impact on everyday life.
We can also provide practical solutions within the home to help reduce the likelihood of falls such as grab rails, half steps and equipment to help support independent living.
